Zhim & Kim // Post Lockdown Intimate Wedding
First Look
Zhim & Kim Boho Style Picnic Wedding was one of the first weddings back post Melbourne Lockdowns. They where limited to 10 guest & outdoor dining only but that didn’t stop them from having the best day ever. The day started with an intimate first look. Zhim & Kim exchanged personal cards to read before the reveal. I find that reading each other’s messages multiply the emotions during the first look. Following on we headed to the groom’s family home for the traditional tea ceremony.
Traditional Tea Ceremony
I love photographing traditional tea ceremonies. The Chinese tea ceremony is conducted on the day of the wedding and sees the bride and groom serve tea to their parents, in-laws, and other family members. Symbolizing the union of two families, it is a meaningful part of the day, typically taking place inside the couple’s respective family homes.
Location Shoot
We headed into the city for some intimate moody laneway shots before we made our way to port Melbourne beach where we enjoyed the warmth of beautiful November sunlight. The last location was at Kamesburgh Gardens in Brighton amongst the beautiful fig trees.
Champagne Popping
What a way to start the celebration by popping a bottle of champagne. There’s not right or wrong way to do, as long as you shake and pop it will make a spectacular photo. Most time i do get soaking wet but it’s all in the name of good fun and epic photography. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
